Welcome
Welcome to ‘Gable-End Photography’. As a born and bred ‘Gable-Endie’, I continue to be surprised and excited by the beauty of my hometown, Montrose, and the surrounding area. Through the changing seasons, changing light and the ever changing man-made environment, the town exhibits its wonderful character, history and charm. In my photo galleries I have attempted to capture some of Montrose’s magic through my camera lens for the enjoyment of fellow ‘Gable-Endies’ wherever they may be and of course, those who are just passing through. Many thanks for visiting.
I have also included a few photographs captured on my many travels and serendipitous wanderings.
'Gable-Endie' is the nickname given to a citizen of Montrose, Angus, Scotland. The term originated because the early buildings had their gable-ends facing the High Street
The local football club, Montrose FC, is also known as the 'Gable-Endies'.
If you wish to purchase any of my images as a gift, or for yourself, details can be found by clicking on ‘Purchase Prints’. All images are also available as blank greeting cards.
Thanks for visiting,
